How Deep are the Dives?

While there are a few dive sites that are best explored at depth, the majority of Roatan's sites are fantastic at 50-60 feet. As a dive center that puts safety first, we only take divers to the maximum depth that they've been trained to through their scuba certifications. But we always do our best to organize dive groups based upon certification level, skill and interest so that divers who have their Advanced Open Water certification or higher can explore Roatan's deep dives. Max depths based upon PADI standards are as follows:
Junior Open Water (10-11 YO): Max Depth 40 feet
Open Water or Junior Open Water (12-14 YO): Max Depth 60 feet
Junior Advanced Open Water: Max Depth 70 feet
Advanced Open Water or above: Absolute Max Depth 130 feet
